What Is Equine-Assisted Therapy?

Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAT) is an experiential treatment approach that uses the horse-human relationship to promote emotional, cognitive, and physical healing. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EAT engages participants in hands-on activities with horses — creating powerful, real-time opportunities for growth.

Every session is led by a licensed mental health professional and supported by trained equine specialists. Activities may include grooming, leading, obstacle courses, and mounted exercises — all designed around the participant's unique treatment goals.
