Our Mission
Rich at Heart Therapy Horses is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing equine-assisted therapy and therapeutic riding to children and adults with special needs in San Antonio, Texas. We believe in the transformative power of the horse-human connection to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive healing.
Stacey-Jean Marie Baum
Stacey-Jean Marie Baum founded Rich at Heart Therapy Horses with a single dream: to create a safe, welcoming space where children and adults with special needs could experience the healing power of horses.
Growing up around horses in Texas, Stacey witnessed firsthand how the gentle nature of these incredible animals could break through barriers that traditional therapies could not. After years of working with children with disabilities, she knew there had to be a better way — a way that felt less clinical and more connected to the earth, to nature, and to the soul.
Today, Rich at Heart Therapy Horses serves the greater San Antonio community, providing life-changing equine-assisted therapy and therapeutic riding programs to those who need it most.
